Boston Cream Pie
Yellow sponge filled with vanilla pastry cream and crowned with thick chocolate ganache.

Ingredients
- 2 yellow sponge cake rounds
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 yolks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
Method
Whisk milk, yolks, sugar, cornstarch, and vanilla over medium heat until thick.
Cool the pastry cream with plastic on the surface for 1 hour.
Sandwich the sponge layers with pastry cream.
Heat cream and pour over chocolate chips. Stir into ganache and pour over the cake.
